On the move: MoCCA AFTERMATH

14. April 2011 by Palle Schmidt

Strangely quiet here, after the constant droning noise of New York City. I’m trying to get back in the slow rythm of work after days of inspiration and wall-to-wall conversation.

Here are some quotes I remember from my trip:

“I abuse my originals pretty severely”

– Bill Sienkiewicz about his splattered and scratched artwork

“If you get arrested again, don’t even think about calling me. Call your mother”

– Man talking to his son on the street

“I don’t need to drink. Being an asshole comes natural to me”

– Dean Haspiel at a bar in Brooklyn

“This looks awesome. I’m definetely gonna pick this up”

– Almost everyone when presented with the print-out of “The Devil’s Concubine“

During the next weeks I’ll be updating with small interviews with other artists, exposing new and old talent alike.
