On the move: NEW YORK

8. April 2011 by Palle Schmidt

Chilly walk along the East River this morning. Not much to see.

Stumbled over a cool little comics store and got the latest “Criminal” book, which is hard to come by in Denmark, and had a chat with the store owner. “St. Mark’s Comics” has existed for 27 years at this location; 11 St. Mark’s Pl.

I showed them my printout version of “The Devil’s Concubine” which they insisted the already ordered. Too bad the book isn’t out yet, I could have signed a few copies. I resisted the urge to buy several action figures I recognized from my childhood and continued my walk through the city.

Stopped for coffee two blocks from my hotel and spotted director Spike Lee among the customers. Gregorys Coffee on Park Ave. South. If you hurry up, he might still be there…

You can't really see, but that's Lee at the end there. No more paparazzi shots from me…
