Just arrived in Saint Malo for the annual comics festival Quai de Bulles. Haven’t met up with anyone yet, but there is a substantial Danish cartoonist group here, got a table and everything. I think.
I like travelling alone. Gives me time to read, write, think. I brought my script and made the most of the 4 hour train ride from Paris. Writing on the iPad is not optimal, but it weighs a lot less than my laptop and has 10 times as much battery time. With the Final Draft app I can edit and backup to Dropbox. I love it.
And you know what else I love? These French rooftops. I had the privilege of living in Paris with my family for two months a few years ago and view from our window had these chimneys too. Such fond memories of strolls along the Seine and 1 euro croissants.
So today’s recommendations: train rides, iPad, France. Go.
