Norwegian sequential art genius Jason is for everybody. Even your girlfriend will like his stuff. Mostly anything you can get your hands on by this guy is brilliant, even though he has never really topped his coming-of-age tragedy “Hey, wait” from 2001. It’s available in Danish from Fahrenheit Publishing. In English, most of his books are available from Fantagraphics.
Jason draws in a minimalistic style, telling quiet tales of loneliness, murder, guilt and love, deriving poetry from the simplest of things. He’s like the Paul Auster of comics. Or, in his more surreal if not goofy moments, the Charlie Kaufman of comics.
Jason can say the most profound things with no words at all.
