I am by no means a first mover with tech gadgets and stuff like that, but there is a slim chance you might not already own all of these for your iPad or iPhone. Let’s see, shall we?
Dropbox
Obviously you all have this, right? I wish someone had told me earlier. It’s like an online backup thingy, perfect for sharing files – though I share mostly with myself! If you work on different computers or just want to keep a copy in a safe place, Dropbox is invaluable. And it’s free!
Index Card
Easy-to-use note tool for the writer on the move! Allows you to organize sets of cards in projects, stack notes, move index cards around with your finger and backup to Dropbox, as rtf or txt if you want, so you can import your scenes/chapters/notes into any writing program. This is the tool I have been looking for.
PocketCasts
Instead of playing Wordfeud on the train or listening to music while I bike, I download whatever podcasts I want to listen to onto my iPod, and fill my head with something relevant instead. So I’m learning stuff or doing research while I’m on the move. Brilliant! Lite version is free.
AwesomeNote
A nifty note tool, that allows you to categorize your notes, save images or map screens as notes. Easy to use, easy to navigate.
BlogPress
I can update my blog while I’m on the road Pretty damn smart, if you ask me. Which you wouldn’t want to do. Ask someone tech-savvy!
